Florida Hospital is an acute-care healthcare system providing more than 2,800 beds throughout Florida. The administrators wanted to link more than 90 facilities within the vast Florida Hospital system to increase the patient care capability of caregivers, make network management faster and easier, and reduce overall costs. To accomplish these objectives, they chose a Cisco Aironet wireless solution by Cisco Systems. The main elements of the Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) are Cisco Aironet 1200 Series access points, Cisco Aironet 350 Series and 1400 Series wireless bridges, and the CiscoWorks Wireless LAN Solution Engine.
