In response to increased state requirements for Technology Applications education, the Texas Center for Educational Technology (TCET) is training more than 1,200 teachers to become certified as high school Technology Applications instructors. As one of the nation's leaders in integrating technology education into classrooms, the state of Texas is requiring four Technology Applications courses of study be offered within secondary school curricula. TCET's challenge is to develop coursework flexible enough to address the needs of all teachers seeking Technology Applications certification. TCET adopted Adobe software - Adobe Premiere, GoLive, Illustrator, InDesign, LiveMotion, and Photoshop - as the foundation for its teacher training.
