One of the top anti-spyware programs out there today is Lavasofts Ad-Aware program. This program is designed to give one protection from data mining, advertising pop-ups, trojans, dialers, browser hijackers, malware, and tracking devices. It can be found just about anywhere for free. Well, just because it is one of the number one rated pieces of software in its class doesn't mean that every site one get it from is giving the original version. They could be using the name and actually infecting the computer. The best way to make sure one isn't actually infecting the computer and one is getting the real version of Ad-Aware is to download it right from Lavasoft.
