This paper presents a network security and data protection analysis to try to stop some hacker's attacks and provides valuable information on how to improve security and protect data. Data availability is very important for every company. If for any reason data was not available when needed, a company could lose important amounts of money. A common type of attack called "Denial of Service" (DoS) has greatly increased lately. The authors will use the norm IEEE P802.1Q to prevent and stop some of this kind of attack.
