Sheila is Lead Midwife and Modern Matron for Inpatient Services on the Maternity Unit at St Mary's Hospital in Manchester, part of the Central Manchester and Manchester Children's University Hospital NHS Trust. Sheila is responsible for making changes and improvements to ensure the patient's journey through hospital is a pleasant and safe one. Sheila loves her job, but she did feel one thing let her down - her IT skills. The ECDL training was appealing to her because it was a nationally recognised qualification, and free to the trust.
