As its largest hands-on training facility, Oracle's Enterprise Technology Center (ETC) is used by Oracle and its customers to develop, demonstrate, and test Oracle solutions in a full-scale enterprise environment. But prior to a February 2005 storage upgrade, capacity limitations prevented the Oracle ETC from satisfying all its customers' support and testing needs. This case study highlights the storage-related issues that were impacting the ETC and explains how 3PAR's InServ S400 Storage Server, Thin Provisioning, and Dynamic Optimization technologies enabled the ETC to solve its capacity problems once and for all.
