With enterprise infrastructures from Dell and EMC, SAP customers can reduce time, cost, and risk in their implementation projects. Administrators can use EMC's SnapView and MirrorView to create and store software copies of existing or legacy application's data in a Dell/EMC storage platform. These copies act as backups to production data as well as "Practice" or "Rehearsal" systems for consolidating, upgrading, and migrating activities for volumes of data from separate instances into a single instance. Rehearsing your procedures on a copy of the production database helps reduce risk since administrators can estimate projected production downtime with greater certainty.
