Hospitals and medical institutions throughout Asia are facing increasing pressure to raise the quality of healthcare with limited resources. Nestled in the central-western area of Singapore, Alexandra Hospital (AH) is a 400-bed general and acute care hospital. The hospital aims at providing hassle-free healthcare to its patients. It is their aim to get a patient who needs admission into a hospital bed within minutes rather than making him or her wait for hours. AH became the first hospital in Asia to deploy advanced Medical-Grade Network solutions from Cisco Systems. The hospital collaborated with Cisco to capitalize on the Cisco Clinical Connection Suite to overcome challenges such as bed shortages, delivery of medical information and location of patients and hospital assets.
