With telecommunications and data converging at an unprecedented pace, wireless service providers must be able to roll-out new content services to their customers quickly and seamlessly as a means of differentiating themselves from competitors and building and nurturing a loyal customer base. Launched in January 2005, OrangeClick is a subscription service that allows customers to manage their mobile phone accounts via the Internet. Accenture and Cisco Systems, Inc. have successfully delivered a prepaid solution to Orange Switzerland for its OrangeClick service. The solution allows Orange Switzerland to rapidly introduce new services to its customers including, most recently, a Pre-pay Unlimited Short Message Service (SMS) offering.
