The City of Stockholm Creates an Educational Portal With Novell exteNd to Enhance Communication Between Teachers and Students, as Well as Provide Secure Access to Web-Based Resources

The City of Stockholm provides government services to nearly one million citizens. All of Stockholm's schools are connected to a fast optical network. However, the school system had two main directories - a public one for civilians, which included students, and an administrative one with greater security for teachers and civil servants. The City of Stockholm decided to build a portal to connect both directories and bridge the gap between teachers and students. The City of Stockholm teamed up with Pulsen, a Novell partner in Sweden, to create a new education portal based on Novell exteNd.
