The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, New York, NY is the fourth largest mutual life insurance company in the United States. Guardian began working on a new enterprise architecture. One of the company's key goals for this architecture was to establish the foundation for allowing the seamless extension of its enterprise systems via wireless technology. To help create a secure and robust wireless infrastructure and develop its first wireless application, Guardian turned to iAnywhere Solutions Using key components from the iAnywhere m-Business Studio and Mail Anywhere Studio, and tying into the newly created infrastructure, the consultants wirelessly extended an existing wired productivity application.
