Symantec Internet Security Threat Report Vol. 5 provides a comprehensive assessment of Internet threats in the second half of 2003. Leveraging the full breadth of Symantec's technology and service offerings, the report is based on data and analysis that cover the full spectrum of information security, including network-based cyber attacks, vulnerability analysis, and malicious code analysis. For example, in 2003 Symantec documented 2,636 new vulnerabilities, 70% of which are easily exploited. And, the report shows trends such as the number of malicious code submissions that presented a threat to confidential data increased by 519% over the first half of 2003. Webcast attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the state of overall Internet threats, what these threats mean to their organization and what one might expect in the future.
