The Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) is responsible for promoting road safety and traffic management, driver licensing and vehicle registration in New South Wales, Australia. With a wide variety of applications and databases and a range of custom-developed solutions, the RTA needed a comprehensive and cross-platform identity management solution to more effectively manage its Microsoft, Novell, Sun, SAP and Oracle environments. RTA evaluated several corporate directories, including Microsoft Active Directory, and ultimately selected a Novell Nsure solution consisting of Novell eDirectory and Novell Nsure Identity Manager.
