Swisscom IT Services AG is one of Switzerland's leading IT service providers. Swisscom IT Services manages the information systems of many banks throughout Switzerland, including eight regional banks. The firm needed to either expand the existing directory services for these banks, or radically reconstruct them. Swisscom IT Services determined to rebuild its enterprise directory services and selected Novell eDirectory and Novell DirXML to provide secure identity management across multiple platforms. Swisscom IT Services uses Novell eDirectory and Novell DirXML to provide enterprise directory services to its financial services customers with the highest level of security. The banks benefit from a secure identity management solution that grants access based on identity, preventing illegal anonymity.
