In 1996, when Continuus Software Corporation (acquired by Telelogic in 2000) introduced Task-Based Change Management (CM) to the marketplace, the practice of software change management was primarily file based. Since then, a fair percentage of project teams have moved up to advanced change management solutions and have embraced Task-Based CM. However, many teams still struggle with traditional file-based approaches to software development.
