The client is a global, Fortune 500 technology company with a multi-site office environment and associated distributed telecom network and infrastructure. SecureLogix staff collected the data set for a report during a 64-day product evaluation covering a portion of the client's telecom circuits. Due to the limited time horizon and network coverage, the evaluation focused on only a subset of all possible ROI and security enhancement benefits that might ultimately be derived from enterprise-wide deployment and day-to-day, customized and expanded use of the ETM System. It was found that the 1,794 inbound modem calls were cause for extreme concern; as each represented a potential external hacker connection into the corporate data network, voice system or other critical infrastructure via unsecured phone lines and modems inside the enterprise.
