Through close collaboration and teamwork, Alcatel and Verizon BSG have successfully introduced a new, end-to-end, managed communications solution for small and medium businesses in the U.S. The success of this initiative is directly attributable to both companies' willingness to move beyond a traditional vendor/channel relationship. Understanding each other's challenges, they jointly designed an offer focused on customer benefits: efficiency, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and single point of contact. They implemented it by adapting their business models to each other's capabilities. Verizon's market presence and sales and marketing know-how was ideally complemented by Alcatel's technical expertise and operational flexibility. Verizon BSG succeeded in expanding its CPE revenues, and Alcatel succeeded in selling its product line for small and medium businesses in the U.S. market.
Both companies are highly satisfied with their relationship, and wish to extend this strategic partnership with new opportunities.
