The everyday business of Oxford University Press is information - in the form of books of all kinds. The data volumes involved in publishing thousands of books is difficult to imagine. Because its long tradition and good reputation oblige it to uphold high standards of quality, the publisher has now brought its information processes up to speed with SAP Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW). Oxford University Press (OUP) now publishes over 4,000 new titles a year and has hundreds of thousands of customers all over the world. To get its masses of data under control, the company began working with modern business software quite a while ago - and in July 2000 migrated from SAP R/3 Release 3.1G to 4.6C.
