Kognitio, in its present state, was formed through a merger between Kognitio and WhiteCross Systems Ltd. Wanting to maintain its edge as a provider of software and services for the large-scale analytics of business data, as well as wanting to free up cost and manpower from the development and support of its own proprietary hardware systems in order to focus on its innovative software technology, Kognitio needed to replace its outdated and inefficient IT infrastructure. The move to the HP BladeSystem produced innumerable advantages for Kognitio's Business Intelligence and Data Migration software and services.
