Does the organization implement network services or applications that require the use of a service account? Service accounts are often configured to run with the highest possible privileges, resulting in membership in the domain administrators group. This kind of setup can enable an attacker to gain full and unrestricted access to the computer, domain, or entire forest. This webcast addresses the problem of Microsoft Windows services that are set to run with the highest possible privileges. It describes ways to identify services that can run with lesser privileges and how to methodically downgrade those privileges. The webcast also provides information about securing administrative level accounts.
