Increasingly there are reservations amongst many companies, especially for small to mid-sized organizations, in adopting a Service Level Management (SLM) solution due to the expectation that a SLM investment will result in a daunting and costly undertaking. The objective of this paper is to address the misguided perception that full-on SLM solutions are out-of-reach for businesses with limited financial, time, and human resources. Additionally, this paper will discuss how achieving immediate and incremental SLM benefits can be obtained through a phased, 'goal-oriented' implementation approach.
