With 1,296 licensed beds in facilities that span 25 city blocks, Swedish Medical Center is the largest nonprofit medical provider in the Pacific Northwest. They wanted to build a best-in-class service management infrastructure to support the hospital's increased reliance on IS systems and reduce silos within IT for interdepartmental information exchange. Adaptive infrastructure provides integrated solution for monitoring systems for customer care. The CMDB is the heart and soul of HP OpenView tools, tying everything on the network together for upgrades, change management and help desk and widespread use of IT Service Management processes, ITIL best practices.
