The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) is one of world's leading ship classification societies, establishing and administering standards for the design, construction, and operational maintenance of marine vessels and structures. ABS wanted to improve their ability to manage thousands of concurrent projects and identify and track the true cost of individual projects. They wanted to consolidate and standardize the company's technology infrastructure to achieve real-time information on the organization's performance. The company implemented a single instance of Oracle E-Business Suite applications to create an IT infrastructure based on a single source of data that improves the accuracy of critical enterprise information and enables fact-based decisions.
