One of the less well-known components of OracleBI Warehouse Builder is the SAP Integrator, which allows Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) of SAP R/3 data into a reporting or warehouse environment. The SAP Integrator is a free of charge, embedded component of Warehouse Builder, allowing an ETL developer to treat SAP data as any other data in his environment. This paper gives an overview of the packaged applications functionality in Warehouse Builder and of the SAP Integrator in particular. It discusses some of the new features and enhancements provided with the 10gR2 release and details on possible implementations.
