To keep subscribers engaged and traffic flowing across the network, operators are adopting a customer centric approach, including addressing customer needs with value-added services, the bundling of converged voice, data services, seamlessly merging an individual's private and professional usage, and merging family member accounts while adding new features like mobility and personalization. The drive for converged services requires that mobile, fixed, voice, video and data network architectures be consistent. In response, network service providers are embracing IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) technology.
