More than 12,000 people are employed with Croatian Post, making it one of the largest state-owned companies in Croatia. To improve internal process efficiencies and Competitiveness and to ensure high availability and security of financial transactions, Croatian Post has overhauled its business IT infrastructure, replacing an aging AlphaServer 4100 system with a cluster of HP Integrity rx4640 Servers and an HP StorageWorks 3000 Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA3000). Since replacing the AlphaServer system, Croatian Post is enjoying numerous business benefits. For instance, payroll calculations for 12,000 employees that previously took several hours now can be conducted much more rapidly, which substantially increases productivity.
