Established in 1997, HKC Worldwide Electronic Company Limited is a manufacturer and exporter of DVD players, televisions, home theater systems, multimedia speakers, computer peripherals, and testing appliances. The company was using disparate financial, distribution, and manufacturing systems that prevented information from being easily shared across the organization. To compound matters, business processes were not standardized, leading to confusion and costly delays as staff struggled to maintain orderly production and distribution schedules. In March 2005, HKC implemented a range of Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition applications as the basis of a new business management platform.
