Since its incorporation 43 years ago, The Village of Buffalo Grove has been one of the fastest-growing suburbs of Chicago. Buffalo Grove has always endeavored to provide its citizens with the highest level of government services. However their infrastructure was aging and the network connectivity was increasingly undependable. In addition, their officers were spending countless hours tethered to a desk writing reports instead of out on the street helping their citizens. These three factors convinced them to consider some new technologies to provide a better solution. The Buffalo Grove team had previous experience with Cisco's Aironet wireless LAN/WAN solution and believed it to be a best of breed product.
