MC-CDMA is a combination of DS-CDMA and multicarrier modulation, which is proven to be a good candidate for high rate wireless communication. This paper examines the downlink rate capacity region of MC-CDMA in fading channel. Expressions for instantaneous, ergodic and outage capacity regions are presented. The effect of different detection and resource allocation strategies is presented with simulation for ergodic and outage capacity using IEEE 802.11a and HIPERLAN2 wireless LAN channel model.
