Chester City Council consists of 60 elected councillors and employs 700 people who work from ten buildings in the city. The company was facing problems with servers falling off the old network and its structure made it difficult to find where those problems were coming from. The network was also slow which was affecting its efficiency. Working with HP partner ADA Networks, the Council installed a new network based on HP ProCurve 5300xl series Level 2/3/ and 4 switches at the core. Chester City Council now has a highly resilient network that is quicker and has the ability to underpin planned future developments.
