VERITAS Cluster Server (VCS) Traffic Director provides availability through scalability and traffic management by directing TCP/IP and UDP/IP traffic to multiple back-end servers. As the demand on applications or a Web site increases, additional back-end servers (virtually an unlimited number) can be added to handle the additional requests. To ensure optimal performance, several traffic direction policies are available to route traffic across the back-end servers.
