Canadian Depository for Securities Ltd. (CDS) plays a critical role in the operation of Canada's capital markets. With an eye toward the future, CDS determined that it needed to implant a synchronous mirroring infrastructure that would ensure the continuous backup of data, deliver 100 percent system availability and enable high-speed data recovery in the event of a disaster. After a close evaluation of the offerings of competing vendors, CDS chose a StorageTek solution that encompassed hardware, software and professional services. StorageTek's synchronous technology allows data to be continuously backed up to the disaster recovery site.
