This paper describes the scaling and performance characterization of an HP Integrity Superdome server with up to 32 cores and 16 HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array 5000 (EVA5000) storage arrays. The scaling and performance numbers were achieved using Oracle 10g with customer-representative applications. Several Oracle workloads were exercised using 8, 16, and 32 processors/cores with the 16 storage arrays.
