The Homer Babbidge Library serves the main campus of the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Connecticut. The library had received requests from students, faculty and the administration to reduce the lines and delays that were occurring. An additional objective was more efficient use of staff and time by reducing the amount of people and material handling needed to do check-out, inventory and other circulation management tasks.
