The Calgary Airport Authority is the not-for-profit corporation responsible for the management, maintenance and development of Calgary International Airport. With growing demands from airlines, tenants in the retail areas of the airport and the traveling public, the Calgary Airport Authority needed to provide high-speed connectivity for a range of applications. A wireless local area network (WLAN) was chosen to not only enhance the service provided to travelers, but also as a solution for airlines and tenants looking to leverage new technologies to improve efficiencies, collaboration and enhance new marketing opportunities. At the core of the WLAN is the Nortel Networks 2200 series of adapters, access points and security switches.
