NAVITIME JAPAN CO., LTD was established in March 2000 by founders Keisuke Ohnishi, CEO and President, and Shin Kikuchi, CTO and Executive Vice President, and quickly became a worldwide leader in computer mapping and personal navigation software. NAVITIME needed to find a solution that had a standardized Application Programming Interface (API), provided advanced GPS capabilities that would support users in a wide range of environments, and was able to handle their program quickly and easily. NAVITIME implemented QUALCOMM's BREW solution and gpsOne technology as the solution.
