Widely regarded as a world-class training ground for future leaders in biomedical research and medical practice, Lane Library is one of the older buildings on campus. Its age and layout presented with immediate challenges for a network specialist with Stanford. Stanford needed a comprehensive wireless LAN solution that would help them plan, configure, verify, and manage their immediate dilemma - the library's WLAN - and support the university's long-term plan to deploy a wireless LAN across the entire campus. The Trapeze Networks wireless LAN Mobility System, with its RingMaster pre- and post-deployment planning and management tool suite met Stanford's requirements.
