The objective of the project presented in this paper was to develop and implement a PDA-based data collection system. This system would be an accurate, convenient and cost-effective alternative to traditional paper/pencil or computer spreadsheet data recording systems. The resulting system would be used in the daily operations of the Department's HMA quality inspection and assurance activities.
