Always-on Internet access has become the norm for many of the students entering today's universities. Yet, resource-constrained institutions are often forced to offer students slow, limited access throughout campus. Recognizing the importance of the Internet in student quality of life, Charleston Southern University - one of South Carolina's largest accredited, independent universities - rose to the challenge. Using Proxim's wireless networks, Charleston Southern became one of South Carolina's first universities to deploy Wi-Fi access to every building on campus - providing students with convenient, high-speed access to the Internet, email and learning applications.
