Lan Kwai Fong Entertainments, Hong Kong's premier F&B operator, owns 17 restaurants and bars within one square block in Hong Kong's trendy area. Though their POS system worked, there were cases when servers would commit errors while taking orders on paper - either missing important details or assigning the wrong order to a specific table - especially on Friday nights when Lan Kwai Fong outlets get packed with customers. They chose Lux to pilot the wireless POS system using HP iPAQ Pocket PC h5450, incorporating wireless LAN 802.11b connectivity, Bluetooth, biometric security and SD slot in one easy to install and manage POS system.
