Sutter Health is a family of 26 not-for-profit hospitals as well as physician organizations and other medical services that share resources and expertise to advance health care quality. Because Sutter-affiliated hospitals and physicians share their knowledge and experiences to improve patient care, it became clear that diagnostic images needed to be readily accessible online to clinicians beyond the hospital of origin. Sutter Health designed and implemented an enterprise Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) storage infrastructure that will enable clinicians at 50 of its Northern California healthcare facilities to easily access and share critical radiology images.
