Fletcher Dental Care, a San Diego-based dental practice, was founded by Dr. Sukhorukov. The goal was to provide members of the practice with latest advances in office automation and patient care. Being a paperless, film-less dental office, Fletcher Dental Care needed a flexible, cost-effective, highly reliable storage solution and disaster recovery plan to comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) Security Rule. Using a Microsoft Windows Powered Iomega NAS 400m server for storing patient information and dental images helps Fletcher Dental Care comply with the HIPAA Security Rule coming into effect in April 2005.
