Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) is located in the heart of the Bluegrass, in Lexington, Ky., and serves over 32,000 students and 2,000 teachers in 54 schools. In the past, FCPS did not have a standard approach for its printing technology and solutions. FCPS recognized the significant costs associated with printing. Specifically, FCPS wanted to print less and save costs on paper, toner and equipment maintenance. Lexmark provided them with the technology answers they expected. FCPS switched from large, expensive copier-based machines to Lexmark multifunction devices equipped with Lexmark's Optra Forms software to store commonly used forms electronically.
