A prototype waveform interoperability system has been built by Vanu, Inc. for the US Army U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM). The system enables law enforcement and public safety agencies with incompatible radio devices to communicate with each other. The prototype system currently supports one connection at a time using any two of the FM, APCO Project 25, and GSM waveforms.
