Baylor University is a recognized leader in the integration of technology with higher education. Baylor needed network protection that would preemptively block new, unrecognized threats arising from anywhere as curious students explored the Internet. Yet this protection had to be transparent so as not to interfere with the university's commitment to unfettered education. Baylor found the combination it needed in Internet Security Systems' (ISS)' Proventia G1200 intrusion prevention appliance.
