One of the technological advances that are having a major impact on the way one does business is the increase in wireless networks. This paper references how Wi-Fi technology is deployed and some of its advantages over traditional means. WiMax promises to help corporations expand business, drive down costs, increase overall profitability, increase the quality of service, and increase the number of users that connect to the internet. The WiMax technology in its current form will complement the 802.11 or Wi-Fi standard.
