This White Paper explores the potential benefits that can be derived from using General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) technology for remote access to the corporate Virtual Private Network (VPN). It explores the traditional methods of remote access to the corporate network and examines the status of GPRS technology as the next logical step on an evolutionary path towards even higher mobile data speeds that will be the norm once Enhanced Data Rate for GSM Environment (EDGE) and 3G technologies reach maturity. Additionally, it outlines the unique Equant model for GPRS access across multiple geographies.
