Building and maintaining an entire nation's roadways is no insignificant task. Tieliikelaitos, the Finnish Road Enterprise, is responsible for most of the public road contracts across Finland, providing planning, construction, maintenance, and repair services. Finnish Road Enterprise faced the challenge of reducing IT costs and complexity, responding faster to business challenges and customer needs, simplify and consolidate the IT environment and improve application and database performance. To respond quickly to customer and business needs, Finnish Road Enterprise embarked on an IT consolidation strategy with HP that involved HP Integrity servers running Windows Server 2003 - making its environment even more adaptive and further reducing costs.
