The goal of this paper is to explore the various WPAN systems/standards and to explain how each addresses issues such as communication, cost, power consumption, size and ease of use/deployment. The end result to a reader of this paper should be a better understanding of the various WPAN systems and which one best meets the requirements of communicating among different devices in a short distance environment.
