Kourion Therapeutics AG, a start-up company in the biotechnology sector, started business operations in the year 2000 in Langenfeld, near Düsseldorf. Strategic company planning was required to prepare the enterprise's conversion into a public limited company and subsequent merger negotiations. The project objective was to subdivide the profit & loss planning into individual company modules and to use them automatically in financial planning and balance sheet planning. The chosen solution also needed to be able to generate various simulations quickly and easily, as well as to depict expenses and income automatically. Professional Planner fulfilled all the requirements in the selection process; the consulting partner, avantum consult GmbH & Co KG, assisted in the implementation.
